Tree Preservation
One of the first organizations in the state to recognize the value of tree canopy and specifically the Heritage Native Oak Trees, Sacramento County adopted a
Tree Preservation and Protection code to preserve all trees possible through the development review process. The code has served as a model ordinance for Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove, and Citrus Heights.
