Publish on the County website a directory of local providers of Community-Supported
Agriculture and food delivery services. Publish information on local Farm-to-Fork events, such as the
annual Farm-to-Form Festival and County restaurants and farms participating in Farm-to-Fork weeks.
During the preparation and implementation of the Food Systems Assessment and Food Action Plan,
potential locations for food hubs will be identified through outreach with local farmers, representatives of
regional markets and institutional buyers, and food entrepreneurs.

Status of Implementation
Sacramento County provides financial support of $500,000 annually to Visit Sacramento (Sacramento Convention & Visitor's Bureau), who markets and advertises Sacramento's entertainment, arts, sports, and culture. Visit Sacramento is the producer and host of the region's premier food and agriculture event, the Farm to Fork Festival, which draws participants and attendees from across the globe. The County actively promotes Farm to Fork and Visit Sacramento by highlighting them on the about the County webpages maintained by the Office of Economic Development.
Currently, Sacramento County Public Health supports the Food Policy Council in the preparation of the Sacramento Food Systems Assessment. Sacramento County's community partner, Valley Vision, has published the 2021 Sacramento Region Food System Action Plan.
Sacramento County Department of Health Services (DHS) is the lead agency for the Edible Food Recovery Working Group (EFRWG), a collaborative effort between the County and six cities to meet the edible food recovery (EFR) requirements of SB 1383. DHS has contracted with the Capital Food Access Alliance to manage and administer the local EFR program, develop a capacity grant program, implement an annual work plan, and other program related tasks.
