The County has recently hired a new Chief Building Official who maintains several accreditations related to this measure, including:

Residential Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner
Lifecycle Assessment credential from MIT
LEED Accredited Professional
In addition, the Chief Building Official has served in numerous positions of leadership in support of code development and training including:

Cosumnes River College, Adjunct Professor. Developed curriculum and taught a number of Building Inspection Technology courses including:

Introduction to Residential Building Performance
The Chief Building Official has begun providing energy code training to the County's residential inspectors and plans examiners and is currently assessing the training needs across the entire office, with a focus towards ensuring compliance with the increasingly complex green building codes.
