Alternative Fuel Waste Collection Trucks
Sacramento County owns and operates 103 liquefied natural gas (LNG) waste collection vehicles and 18 are dual-fuel vehicles that run on 80% LNG and 20% diesel. These vehicles generate 3,800 metric tons of GHGs per year less than traditional waste collection vehicles.
